Foodie Friday: Organic Cinammon Raisin Oatmeal Recipe (sugar free)

I have always wanted to like oatmeal, and with this recipe, I finally do! I think that using Red Mill Organic Scottish style oats certainly helps, too. It just tastes better than regular oatmeal to me. This is one recipe you will want to try. Oats are heart healthy and nutritious. Cinnamon supports good blood sugar levels. And stevia and raisins are good for you too! This makes 2 servings.

For this recipe you will need:
  • 1 cup Red Mill organic scottish oats oatmeal
  • 3 cups water
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 packets of stevia (I use NOW organic stevia)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, or to taste
  • organic raisins to sprinkle (we get ours from Whole Foods)

  1. Bring 3 cups of water (with salt added) to a boil, then turn down to medium.
  2. Add 1 cup of oatmeal.
  3. Cook until a good consistency, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add cinnamon and stevia.
  5. Spoon into bowls.
  6. Sprinkle with raisins.
  7. Enjoy!
