Trader Joe's Organic Raw Honey Product Review

Share this page:

I have been weaning myself off of sugar for a while now. I now use honey and agave nectar. It took me a little while, but now I am using only organic raw honey. It has many health benefits, so many that I actually wrote an article about just that. You can read it here: The Health Benefits of Honey- So Much More than a Sweetener.

Trader Joe's organic raw honey is extremely sweet and yummy! Unlike processed honeys, this organic honey has a thick, creamy texture. It is very smooth.  You only need to use a very small amount to get a lot of sweetness. I give it two thumbs up and recommend that you try it as soon as you can!

Trader Joe's brand organic mustard and ketchup product review

Trader Joe's brand ketchup and mustard are both organic. Right away that is a plus. They are only about $2 a piece as well. So, they are extremely affordable.

The mustard ingredients are water, organic distilled vinegar, organic yellow mustard seed, salt, organic sugar, organic turmeric, xanthan gum, organic spices. One tsp. is 5 calories. The taste is very good. I only wish it didn't have sugar, but it is a very small amount I am sure. Overall I give it 8 stars. I do recommend it. :o)

The ketchup is very tasty as well. The ingredients are organic tomato puree, organic sugar, salt, organic white vinegar, organic onion powder, and organic spices. I am pretty picky about ketchup. Heinz had been my favorite, but I like the Trader Joe brand even better than that.

Next time you are at Trader Joe's why not pick up some of their ketchup and mustard? I think you will like them. Organic. Affordable. Tasty. You can't go wrong there. :o)

Review of Trader Joe's

I am happy to announce that I finally began shopping at Trader Joe's! I went for the first time a few weeks ago. It came to our area within the last year and I just hadn't been. Now that I have been I plan to go every two weeks and stock up on my favorite products and try some new ones.

We went in the evening on a Saturday, and was it packed! Here is a pretty picture I took of Trader Joe's after I was done shopping:

The cashier told me that it is really crowded on the weekends as this is the only Trader Joes in the area.

There are a few things I really like about this store. For one thing, there are so many healthy options! Things are marked vegan, vegetarian, gluton free, easy meal, etc. so you don't have to go reading through the labels. Of course I look at all the ingredients anyway, as I try to avoid high fructose corn syrup, msg, and a lot of excess sugar. Another cool thing about Trader Joes is that the prices are really good. You can find things you can't find at your normal stores, and the prices are lower on some of the products. Also, they are always cooking up free samples to give away. Yummy! And, if you are a coffee drinker (and even if you aren't lol) don't forget to try the coffee samples. They are delicious.

All in all, I say if you live near one, go. Here is my purchase from my first visit:

Everything I have tried from this store I have really liked. Watch for individual product reviews coming soon!
God bless!
